PlayStation Plus is the most popular video game subscription in the U.S., according to a survey conducted by Statista last May. The ranking sees Amazon Prime Gaming/Moon in second place and Xbox Game Pass in third place.
Currently 47.4 million subscribers strong, PlayStation Plus changed dramatically last month, incorporating the PlayStation Now streaming platform and giving rise to three different subscription levels.

However, it is interesting to look at how the survey was conducted: the sample used by Statista is 1099 gamers with active subscriptions who were asked what service they spent money on during the past year.
To that question, 41% pointed specifically to PlayStation Plus, while 39% pointed to Amazon Prime services, which include Gaming and the Luna streaming platform. Finally, 37% of respondents said they subscribed to Xbox Game Pass.
Beyond the surveys, the official figures speak as mentioned of 47.4 million PS Plus subscribers and 25 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers, the latter information dating back to last January, however: the numbers for both services are expected to grow.
