Metal Gear Solid, Konami may announce remasters of first three chapters at TGS 2022

31.08.2022 56

Konami may announce remastered editions of the first three Metal Gear Solid games at TGS 2022. The news was initially reported by the VGC news outlet, only to be confirmed by insider Dusk Golem, who called it 100% accurate.

Presenting its lineup for the Japanese event, Konami had talked about the return of a much-loved series, which according to new rumors could be the Metal Gear series.

VGC only mentioned the series, while Dusk Golem went into more detail, talking about remastered editions and not remakes. The information was reportedly given to him by a source he considers 100 percent reliable and also includes plans for launch:

"The plan is to launch the three remastered editions separately, but also together as a collection (in which the MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2 will also be included)." In a later post, the insider also talked about the platforms on which we will be able to play them, mentioning PC and consoles. He also explained that these are new remasters, more advanced than those seen in the past, and designed to run at higher resolutions.

Of course, it is only fair to point out that these are only rumors. To find out more, we will just have to wait for Konami's event at the Tokyo Game Show 2022, set for September 16.
