Gears of War, remaster to Master Chief Collection due out this year per a leaker

Gears of War will be featured in a Halo: The Master Chief Collection-style remaster, and the package is scheduled to be released this year, according to well-known leaker Nick Baker.

If you recall, last January Baker spoke precisely about a Halo: The Master Chief Collection-style remaster coming, but without specifying which franchise was involved. Well, in the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast he confirmed that it is Gears.

That's not all: the remaster announcement is expected to come during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, the event that all Xbox users now look forward to with some degree of expectation.

In the video above, starting at minute 43:30, Nick Baker talks about the rumor he reported last January and says he is led to believe that the remaster in question will debut this year.

After that he says, but many users had already guessed, that the series that will be reinterpreted in this way will be Gears of War. In what way exactly? All episodes together or with separate launches? And with what kind of improvements? We'll find out in a month, apparently.
