In the past few hours, a video comparison between Starfield and No Man's Sky posted by IGN's official Twitter account has been a big hit on social media, and then well-known journalist/insider Tom Henderson wanted to respond to the media hype of this somewhat far-fetched video with another decidedly improper comparison, between Forza Motorsport and Alaskan Truck Simulator.

You can see the result in the tweet below from Tom Henderson, who clearly pokes fun at the rather forced comparison between the Bethesda game and the Hello Games game by putting up an even more absurd one, to answer the caciara with even more caciara. The text is precisely what had been published by IGN, but with the games substituted: "Forza Motorsport's gameplay has finally been unveiled, and fans immediately started making comparisons with another simulation: the Alaskan Truck Simulator. Let's see them side by side!"

Obviously, there are points of contact here as well: in both Forza Motorsport and Alaskan Truck Simulator you drive vehicles, you are in different weather conditions, and there are natural settings with trees and rocks, and probably as good as building a direct comparison on similar grounds to those used for the now famous Starfield vs. No Man's Sky.
The point is somewhat to tease out a comparison made on two games that offer different structures, amplitudes and production levels, which nonetheless seems to have found favor with the social audience, given the success enjoyed by the bizarre video posted by IGN, obviously also exploiting the trail of media discussion that followed Starfield's presentation at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, 2022.
