Deathloop: there's a "new title" on the way, according to lead actor

A couple of tweets by Jason Kelley have launched a new rumor related to Deathloop, for which there may be a "new title" on the way, reportedly opening up a possibility about some addition to what could be a series, although the matter is still decidedly doubtful.

Indeed, the actor who plays the protagonist of Deathloop, namely Colt, posted a tweet with a photo of him engaged in a dubbing session, with the phrase "Oooooooooo! Can't wait to talk about this!" and a series of hashtags evidently related to Deathloop.

 In response, one user asked, "So is there any good DLC coming?" But Jason Kelley denied with a precision, "No, a new title. That's all I can say, because of NDA." Obviously Kelley cannot reveal more because of a non-disclosure agreement he has to abide by, but his answer raises a lot of questions.

The idea of a DLC or expansion would make particular sense for Deathloop and also considering Bethesda's modus operandi, but the clarification about it being a new title seems odd. It seems really difficult that it could be a new chapter in the series, but the answer may lie in the typical way Arkane presents the expansions of its titles, as true stand-alone games.

We saw this, for example, with Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, for all intents and purposes a kind of DLC/Expansion but still treated as a proper, stand-alone chapter. Deathloop could therefore also receive such an addition and that would be the one Kelley is working on. We will probably learn more during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase conference set for June 12, 2022.
